A PEARL CITY CLAYHOUSE WORKSHOP SERIES
Japanese Craft Traditions
with Deb Eck, Pearl City Clayhouse Teaching Artist and Program Director
Deb Eck is both a teaching artist who specializes in installation and book arts, and the program director for Pearl City Clayhouse in Jamestown, NY. When not in the studio playing with paper and threads, she is busy behind the scenes making the magic happen! As a teacher, “I am constantly aware of my role as Map Maker. Students expect me to be their guide, to know the path ahead, to have all the answers. What I have learned after years as a teacher, is that there is ALWAYS so much more left to learn. My goal is to lead the way as we adventure together, trusting that when you are ready you will blaze your own trail! Making gives me agency. This is what I want for you. The joy of being your true creative self.
