The South Galleries feature works by Sean McConnor, Professor of Painting at Thiel College. The paintings in his exhibition are modest in size, reflecting the unpretentiousness of his subjects, whether still-life or landscape. His work honors the long tradition of contemplating – and painting – the humble objects we find in our immediate surroundings. Using a muted range of colors, his renderings radiate a quiet life of their own. ​
