As a non-profit gallery, proposals are selected based on artistic merit and the physical constraints of the gallery, not salability.
The Exhibitions Committee considers solo shows, group or tandem shows, and curated exhibitions.
Exhibiting artists/curators are responsible for delivery and pickup of art.
A small honorarium is given to solo-exhibtion artists traveling two hours or more to attend the opening reception to help defray travel expenses.
New exhibitions open the first Saturday of even-numbered months and run for four weeks.
Temporary exhibitions vary in scale. Solo exhibitions are usually displayed in two and sometimes three galleries, and can run from 85 to 136 linear feet. If a small one-gallery exhibition is proposed, as few as 42 feet.
The CAG will provide an opening reception with light hors d'oeuvres and beverages, publicity via local and social media, the design and printing of postcards and posters.
A proctor is always present to greet visitors. The galleries are secured with cameras and motion alarms, and displayed works are insured.
