What’s your favorite view of the Allegheny Reservoir? The water’s edge from Kinzua Point? The overlook on Jake’s Rocks? Or perhaps an imaginary scene? Interpret your vision in your own way—using cut, folded and torn pieces of Rock Paper. Discover a new way to express yourself artistically!
In this workshop we will explore the use of Rock Paper—yes, it is really made of rock—and create individual little scenes inspired by our local landscape. You’ll learn how to invoke depth in your work by choosing colors and various techniques to exploit the unique properties of this unusual paper. No previous art skills are needed, you must be able to safely operate a pair of sharp scissors. Bring along a photo of your favorite view, or use your imagination. About the instructor: Wendy Bale
